Laugh your Ass Off

What if no matter what happened in your life you were able to simply laugh? What would happen if your car got into a wreck and you laughed your ass off? What if you ate all the chocolate chip cookies in the cupboard and ruined your diet? What if you recalled your worst childhood memory and found it hysterically funny? What if you used your debit card and realised that your bank account was overdrawn? Would it really be such a bad thing?

Yes your friends and family may think you’ve lost your marbles and look at you strange and say behind your back that they think you’ve been smoking crack, but would that really be such a bad thing? What if you really knew that nothing in this world made a difference to who and what you really are? What if you knew without a doubt that laughter and miracles were your true nature and nothing, absolutely nothing could change that?

What if you knew you could never get hurt, could never really do anything wrong, could never die, be unloved or found unworthy for anything that you’ve ever done or will do? Can you really imagine the freedom and peace that would be available to you? The power and the life that you could take as your own… What would your answer be?

Go ahead then, laugh! Laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh. You know it feels good. I give you permission right now. Even if you accept it only for a moment, let loose… Because everything that you believe is real, everything that you think happened, everything that you worry about and everything that you search for but think you don’t have or will ever find, is funny as hell because it doesn’t matter one iota.

When you fully come to embrace reality and understand that the cause of all your perceived problems is that you simply forgot to laugh from the very beginning, you will truly be baffled that you’ve wasted so much time doing anything else.
